Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote early literacy, math skills, physical development, and social-emotional growth in infants.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, curiosity, and independence among infants.
- Engage with children through activities that support their developmental milestones, including motor skills, language acquisition, and sensory exploration.
- Manage daily classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, nap times, and playtime with patience and professionalism.
- Collaborate with families to share progress updates, discuss developmental concerns, and tailor care plans to meet individual needs.
- Apply behavior management strategies to foster positive social interactions and emotional regulation among infants.
- Maintain detailed records of each child's progress, health information, and developmental milestones in compliance with licensing standards.
- Incorporate best practices in special education and early intervention techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, health protocols, and licensing requirements related to childcare and early childhood education.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with infants in a daycare or preschool setting; classroom experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with early intervention practices, special education needs, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification in infant/toddler care or early childhood education is highly desirable; Montessori or preschool experience is a plus.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, physical activities including teaching physical education basics for young children, and foundational math concepts.
- Knowledge of standardized testing procedures for early assessment purposes is advantageous.
