Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or breaches
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity within the facility
- Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations following established procedures
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security concerns or incidents
- Assist with conflict de-escalation and manage difficult situations professionally and calmly
- Perform background checks on visitors or contractors when required to ensure safety compliance
Experience
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems
- Training in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures
- Familiarity with manual handling techniques and heavy lifting when necessary for safety protocols
- Ability to perform background checks and conduct security screenings effectively
- Experience in conflict management and de-escalation strategies to handle challenging situations confidently
- Strong understanding of security regulations, compliance standards, and incident report writing
