Job Description

We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Sales and Customer Solutions Specialist to join our Torrance team.

This position involves customer service, retail sales, merchandise evaluation, transaction processing, and general store operations. Previous pawnshop experience is not required. Comprehensive training will be provided.

Ideal experience includes banking, financial services, check-cashing services, wireless sales, jewelry, electronics, hospitality, or other structured customer-facing environments.

The ideal candidate is professional, confident with customers, quick to learn, and comfortable taking initiative. Applicants should be able to stay organized, solve problems, manage changing priorities, and complete responsibilities without requiring constant supervision.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and their own reliable vehicle for occasional travel between our Los Angeles and Torrance locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide professional, attentive service
• Assist customers with retail sales, pawn loans, purchases, and other store services
• Evaluate and appraise merchandise after completing company training
• Process cash, sales, and loan transactions accurately
• Recommend merchandise and help customers make informed purchasing decisions
• Build strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business
• Assist with online sales through eBay, OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace, and other platforms
• Organize merchandise and maintain a clean, professional store environment
• Follow company policies, procedures, documentation standards, and security requirements
• Complete assigned responsibilities and recognize additional tasks that require attention
• Support the team with other operational responsibilities as needed

Qualifications

• At least two years of customer service, retail, or sales experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional and confident approach when assisting customers
• Ability to learn new products, systems, and procedures quickly
• Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable handling cash and higher-value merchandise
• Ability to remain productive in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow company procedures and maintain accurate documentation
• Reliable transportation
• Full-time availability, including weekends

Experience with online marketplaces such as eBay, OfferUp, or Facebook Marketplace is helpful but not required.
