What are the responsibilities and job description for the Airport Chauffeur position at 5 Guys Transportation?
Earn up to $55,000 per year as an airport chauffeur
$10,000 hiring bonus for PM shift, paid $100 per week for 100 weeks, contingent on continued employment (Must work 5 or more days each week to collect)
$2,500 hiring bonus for AM shift, paid $50 per week for 50 weeks, contingent on continued employment (Must work 5 or more days each week to collect)
$150-$200/day average and full shift guaranteed minimums - plus keep cash tips.
PM shift guaranteed minimum pay differential with daily bonuses available
Due to our insurance, all drivers MUST be 30-years or older. Drivers wishing to also drive transit vans must pass a Department of Transportation medical examination.

Earn a percentage of each fare and keep 100% of all gratuities
Earn a minimum of $150 per shift guaranteed plus keep cash tips. Our employees are averaging $150-$200 per day plus cash tips. You will transport passengers to and from the airport in our vehicles. We will train the right person--better customer service earns better tips. More efficient drivers are able to complete more trips.
- You choose your shift and number of days -
AM (2AM-2PM) generally--no 2 shifts are ever the exact same start and finish times;
PM (1PM-1AM) generally and last arriving flights--no 2 shifts are ever the exact same start and finish times;
Both shifts start and end at our office near the airport. Longer commutes are welcome to apply, but drivers with 10-20 minute drives typically remain onboard.
A few additional requirements before you call:
- Be willing to work at least 1 weekend day and no less than 4 shifts per week
- Have reliable transportation to the office and be willing to be on call the entire shift
- Have and demonstrate an understanding of Kansas City area
- Have a smartphone and know how to generally use Google maps
- Must have a fairly clean driving record in the last 5 years as documented in your state Motor Vehicle Record
- Able to pass Federal background check (no past felonies or outstanding warrants as the airport police department will hold people)
- MO license holders must upgrade to Class E unless already A,B,C, or E
- All other state license holders no special endorsement needed
- All new hires will have to pass an FBI background check for an airport badge
- Once hired, we pay weekly every Friday, and pay for the vehicle, insurance, fuel, maintenance, tolls, uniforms. You just drive.
