Role Description The API Integrations Developer is a full-time, on-site role based in Willowbrook, IL. This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining API integrations between internal platforms, marketing tools, analytics systems, and client applications to ensure reliable data flow and automation. The developer will collaborate with marketing strategists, data analysts, and product teams to understand integration requirements, implement secure and scalable solutions, and troubleshoot technical issues. Daily tasks include developing and documenting APIs, integrating third-party services, monitoring performance, and resolving integration errors or data inconsistencies. The role also involves improving existing integration architectures, contributing to technical standards, and supporting deployment and version control practices.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in API development and integration (RESTful APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML) and experience working with third-party platforms and SaaS tools.
- Solid backend programming skills (e.g., Node.js, Python, or similar languages) with experience in building secure, scalable services.
- Hands-on experience with databases and data modeling (SQL and/or NoSQL) and familiarity with data pipelines or ETL processes.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and DevOps practices (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, containerization, CI/CD, version control with Git).
- Understanding of authentication and security standards (OAuth, JWT, API keys, encryption, role-based access control).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills, with the ability to diagnose integration issues across systems.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional, non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
