Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Interim Director of Behavioral Health to lead and oversee comprehensive behavioral health services within a dynamic healthcare organization. Duties
- Serves as the interim Director of the Behavioral Services Unit (BSU) at Cayuga Medical Center, providing strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team of nurses, behavioral health technicians, social workers, recreational therapists, and working with our psychiatric provider team.
- Leads efforts to foster a culture of collaboration, engagement, accountability, and excellence in patient care through team development and relationship building.
- Oversees departmental operations, resource allocation, and budget management to ensure the delivery of high-quality, fiscally responsible behavioral health services.
- Collaborates closely with the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) to maintain regulatory compliance and support continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Partners with hospital leadership and medical staff to advance organizational goals, enhance patient outcomes, and strengthen interdisciplinary care delivery.
- Provides leadership continuity, operational stability, and strategic direction during the transition period while supporting the recruitment and onboarding of a permanent department director.
Requirements:
- 2-year experience as a Director
- Active NY State RN License
- BLS & CPI - Required
Pay: $3,500.00 - $4,000.00 per week
