Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) – GAPP Program
Location: Georgia (In-Home Pediatric Care)
Schedule: Full-time / Part-time / PRN (Flexible Shifts Available)
Program: Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP)
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to medically fragile children in their homes under the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP). The RN will deliver high-quality clinical care while supporting the child’s safety, comfort, and developmental needs in a family-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled pediatric nursing care in the home setting
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing evaluations
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered
- Manage medical equipment such as:
- G-tube/NG tube feedings
- Oxygen therapy
- Suctioning and airway management
- Monitor and document patient condition, vital signs, and responses to care
- Develop and follow individualized Plans of Care (POC)
- Accurately complete clinical documentation in compliance with Medicaid/GAPP standards
- Educate and support families on care techniques and safety
- Communicate effectively with physicians, case managers, and agency staff
- Follow infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Pediatric or home health experience preferred (training available)
- Experience with medically fragile children strongly preferred
- Strong clinical, assessment, and critical-thinking skills
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Compassionate, dependable, and professional demeanor
