Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise survey crew members during field data collection, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality results.
- Operate advanced surveying equipment such as GPS units, 3D scanners, and total stations to capture precise land and construction data.
- Prepare and review schematics, drawings, and land survey plans using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Carlson software.
- Conduct complex calculations involving trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and math principles to process survey data accurately.
- Utilize GIS tools like ArcGIS and Land Surveying techniques to analyze spatial information for ALTA surveys, construction layouts, and topographic mapping.
- Coordinate with civil engineers and project managers to develop schematics, site plans, and construction layouts aligned with project goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards while maintaining detailed records of field activities and data collection logs.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of land surveying principles combined with proficiency in GPS technology, Trimble equipment, and 3D scanning devices.
- Expertise in CAD drafting software including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Revit, and Carlson for designing schematics and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with GIS platforms such as ArcGIS for spatial analysis and mapping applications.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering concepts related to construction layout, ALTA surveys, and topographic mapping.
- Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations involving trigonometry, algebra, geometry, and general math skills essential for accurate data processing.
- Experience with schematic development for construction projects using CAD tools; knowledge of land surveying standards is highly desirable.
