Tax Accountant, Indirect Tax, Sales & Use Tax

Responsibilities: Prepares support and files monthly sales and use tax returns, processes ACH payments, provides account coding, and reconciles information to accounting. Analyzes monthly activity for vendor compliance and use tax liability by reviewing payment support and applying jurisdiction tax rules and regulations. Supports New Construction Development by verifying vendor information, preparing exemption certificates, maintaining a filing tracker, researching sales tax jurisdiction and rates, and preparing estimated sales tax liability for project budgets. Develops and maintains expertise regarding sales and use tax regulations. Assists with research and providing audit support. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field required Minimum one (1) year of related experience preferred Experience with CRM, Yardi, and JD Edwards preferred Intermediate to advanced level of Excel preferred Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat Strong critical thinking and attention to detail Excellent organizational skills and follow-up abilities Effective written and verbal communication with vendors, co-workers, and supervisors Skilled at managing multiple projects simultaneously Collaborative team player Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic environment Compensation The anticipated pay range/scale for this position is $25.50 to $30.61 Hourly. Actual starting base pay within this range will depend on factors including geographic location, education, training, skills, and relevant experience. Additional Compensation This position is not eligible to receive additional compensation. The Company provides 9 paid holidays per year, and, upon hire, new employees will accrue paid time off (PTO) at a rate of 0.0577 hours of PTO per hour worked, up to a maximum of 120 hours per year.
