4K Family Network is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in Stark County, OH that aims to improve the lives of children and families through high-impact mobile intervention programming. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who enjoy working with families and want to make a true impact in the community. Behavior Mentors and Parent Partners are essential in helping us achieve our mission of improving the lives of children of all abilities and our vision of a community where children and families can fulfill their unique potential.
PLEASE READ: For the current opening, applicants must be willing to work with the PARENTS of children who experience high/intense behavioral, academic, and social-emotional challenges. There will be some interaction with the children, but the parents are the primary focus. The population is primarily families living in poverty-stricken neighborhoods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Implement culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate curriculum that creates a positive, nurturing environment and includes adult-directed activities and instruction that take into consideration the needs of parent-specific goals.
2. Maintain the safety and well-being of all participants through appropriate monitoring of young children and parents.
3. Implement the family-specific plan developed with team members.
4. Attend all scheduled staff meetings, in-service training, and supervision as required.
5. Attend pre- scheduled staff meetings when requested.
6. Complete all necessary documentation and submit it in a timely manner to the designated staff member.
7. Must maintain the confidentiality of both the agency, the partnered site, and participating families. Applicants will be expected to sign a confidentiality statement and other protective documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Preferred Background/Licenses: LISW, LPCC, LPC, BCBA, Family Support Workers, or similar experience.
2. Creative skills and/or willingness to learn.
4. Demonstrated strong customer service skills; ability to work well with the PARENTS of enrolled children in their homes.
5. Willingness to complete training
6. Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic backgrounds.
7. Must be willing to go to the family's home.
8. Willing to submit a completed background check and all other onboarding steps.
LOCATION: Stark County, OH
AVAILABILITY: Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, Weekends
Please note: There may be times when urgent home visits are required to assist parent-child interaction.
HOURS: 2-12 hours PER WEEK
