The Senior Test Automation Engineer (STAE) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. This role involves mentoring team members, defining and enforcing testing processes, and serving as a subject matter expert in both product functionality and the RTSM domain. The Sr. TAE will leverage WebdriverJS for front-end automation and Python for API testing.

The Senior Test Automation Engineer (STAE) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test solutions to ensure the quality and reliability of our products. This role involves mentoring team members, defining and enforcing testing processes, and serving as a subject matter expert in both product functionality and the RTSM domain. The Sr. TAE will leverage WebdriverJS for front-end automation and Python for API testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert on product functionality and the RTSM domain.
- Act as the primary point of contact for automation troubleshooting and resolution.
- Design, write, maintain, and enhance automated test cases for web and API layers.
- Collaborate with the SQE team to convert manual test cases into automated solutions.
- Diagnose and implement fixes where automation impacts feature development.
- Participate in tool selection, adoption, and continuous improvement of automation frameworks.
- Advocate for testing and automation best practices across the organization.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and professional development of Test Automation Engineers.
- Contribute to audits and compliance activities as required.
- Assist in investigating CAPAs (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and deviations related to automation.
- Minimum of 5 years experience with automated testing tools and methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in a high-level programming language, with emphasis on test automation.
- Solid understanding of automation best practices, test design patterns, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for dynamic web applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD environments such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Travis.
- Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Knowledge of Page Object Model (POM) and its importance in maintainable test design.
- Experience with Git, API testing, Cucumber, and Gherkin.
