Department: Strategic Innovation

Classification: Exempt 

Approved By: CEO

Wage Grade: 11

Salary Range: $62,761.92 - $78,452.40  


POSITION PURPOSE

Responsible for leading and delivering multiple projects that are aligned to 4Fronts strategic plan. Leveraging effective planning and organizational skills, you will set the team up for successful delivery, manage team performance, and help work out and resolve roadblocks. As a servant-leader for the team, you will motivate by sharing the why for projects, keep stakeholders informed, and manage change effectively. Successful delivery requires analysis of which methodology to deploy for individual initiatives, agile or traditional waterfall. Requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders.  


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

  1. Solid knowledge and experience in various Project Management methodologies and processes including agile and waterfall.
  2. Helps determine best methodology to leverage for delivering specific projects and communicates the why.
  3. Collaborates with business stakeholders to ensure project objectives, outcomes, and scope are aligned and documented.
  4. Acts as servant-leader to project team, reducing impediments that may impact project outcomes.
  5. Ability to lead and facilitate project meetings and/or agile scrum sessions for ongoing planning and delivery. 
  6. Reports status of project, including project risks to stakeholders.
  7. Oversee product documentation and archiving and adheres to the standards for project closure.
  8. Ability to timely lead team discussions for continuous improvement such as retrospectives.
  9. Ability to communicate project information clearly and articulately.
  10. Contributor to the ongoing development of processes, tools, and artifacts to standardize project management methodologies.
  11. Acts as a change agent and reference point for the organization to promote and support adoption of project management standards and best practices.
  12. Analyzes project interdependencies, resource needs, and constraints to facilitate evaluation and prioritization of projects and programs enterprise wide.
  13. Ensures projects are resourced with team members with the appropriate skills and knowledge for optimal success.
  14. Facilitates change requests so that all parties are informed of the impacts on outcomes, schedule, and budget, and appropriate approvals are confirmed before commencing with changes.
  15. Oversees and assists with developing and executing business and technical requirements and test plans.
  16. Promotes and participates in continuous learning by seeking out educational and informational opportunities and resources.


PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS


  1. Projects managed are delivered aligned to member expectations, delivered intended business value, and with high quality.
  2. Good working relations exist with Credit Union personnel, members and vendors.
  3. Management is appropriately informed of key activities, roadblocks and mitigations to roadblocks.
  4. Leverages appropriate methodology to successfully deliver and employees retrospectives for continuous improvement.
  5. Good working relationships, DEI and collaborative initiatives exist with credit union personnel.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields or equivalent work experience 

  • Engineering
  • IT or Computer Science
  • Business or Business Administration
  • Management

Project Manager Professional (PMP) Certification preferred


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of Financial Industry (Banking/Credit Union) preferred


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Thee (3) or more years of professional experience


SKILLS/ABILITIES: Should possess high levels of the below skills to perform well in the role:

  • Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies, including traditional/waterfall and agile.
  • Ability to lead projects of various scope and complexity and see them through to completion.
  • Strong sense of ownership and ability to take initiative in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
  • Solid organizational and time management skills including attention to detail and multitasking.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Capacity to manage high stress situations.
  • Big-picture thinking and vision.
  • Conflict resolution skills.



PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

FINGER DEXTERITY: Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.


TALKING: Especially where one must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.  


AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.


REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and fingers.


AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.


PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally.



WORKING CONDITIONS


NONE: No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions. (Such as in a typical office.)



MENTAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION


REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization.

  •  Able to interpret various instructions.


MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percentages, and to draw and interpret graphs.


LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, and reports

  •  Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.
  •  Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis; correct punctuation (or sign equivalent) and variation in word order.
