Marketing and Public Relations Intern

4C Health is a growing non-profit Community Mental Health Center currently serving the communities of North Central Indiana since 1975. 4C Health is deeply committed to increasing access to a continuum of care while integrating physical and behavioral health well-being for our staff and consumers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Includes the following. Other assignments, projects, and duties may be required.

• Assist with maintaining the marketing and public relations department within or relating to 4C Health.
• Assist with developing presentations and proposals for advertising or marketing campaigns, strategies, and initiatives. Ensure that messages and initiatives are supportive of and consistent with approved marketing or content strategies for the Center. Implement marketing campaigns and initiatives under the direction of the Chief Revenue Officer.
• Assist with creating and delivering press releases, media relations content, organizational newsletter, social media content, and website content.
• Assist with conducting ongoing marketing research to provide data and demographics on the communities served by the Center. Study the trends in the market and industry.
• Assist with coordinating and executing promotional and special events for the Center. Assist with set up, tear down, and clean-up of all 4C Health sponsored events as needed or requested.
• Participate in promotional events, launch events, and employee recognition events.
• Assist with creating internal and external brand awareness through advertising, email campaigns, direct and mass mailings, and social media.
• Create and implement marketing materials. Revise materials as needed or requested. Maintain inventory of all marketing materials, including but not limited to, digital materials, printed materials, and promotional items. Place orders for new or additional materials as needed or requested.
• Work within and adhere to established departmental budget.
• Assist with facilitating and promoting Center activities by providing information and education relating to the positive and negative aspects of our industry and organization.
• Provide information about new programming and opportunities created at 4C Health in conjunction with Center Leadership.
• Collect, monitor, and report client satisfaction survey and internal satisfaction survey results.
• Assist with promoting and recruiting Center employment opportunities in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
• Assist the Executive Leadership team with developing and compiling annual reports for the Center.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Current Marketing/Public Relations/Communications Student, seeking internship opportunity.

Experience: Minimum course requirements.

Necessary skills: Computer skills, social media posts/marketing, public speaking, organizational skills, great interpersonal skills.

1. Must be well versed and have experience in public speaking and presentations.
2. Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in common forms of software.
3. Must have experience with website applications and marketing through social media.
4. Must have experience and demonstrate ability and preparation to use audio visual aids.
5. Must have experience working in community related projects such as service clubs, community boards or churches.
