POSITION SUMMARY:

The Clinical Educator is responsible for designing, coordinating, and delivering clinical training and education across the CCBHC to ensure high-quality, compliant, and evidence-based care. This role provides clinical supervision to assigned staff and direct oversight to student interns, supporting workforce development while maintaining clinical quality, compliance, and ethical standards.

The Clinical Educator partners with leadership, supervisors, and quality teams to support onboarding, ongoing professional development, intern supervision, and fidelity to evidence-based practices across behavioral health, substance use, and integrated care services.

Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Training & Education

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive clinical training program aligned with CCBHC standards, state regulations, and organizational priorities.
  • Deliver onboarding and ongoing training for clinical staff and interns, including documentation standards, clinical workflows, and scope-of-practice expectations.
  • Provide training related to Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) including cohorts, trauma-informed care, integrated care and care coordination, single session intervention, suicide risk assessment and crisis intervention, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Clinical Supervision & Intern Oversight

  • Provide direct clinical supervision to graduate-level interns in accordance with licensure board, academic program, and organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate intern placement, orientation, and training in collaboration with academic institutions and internal leadership.
  • Ensure interns practice within approved scope and competency levels.
  • Review and co-sign intern clinical documentation as required.
  • Provide ongoing feedback, evaluation, and professional development guidance to interns.
  • Address performance, ethical concerns, or remediation needs in collaboration with supervisors and academic partners.
  • Maintain supervision documentation to support compliance with licensure, accreditation, and audit requirements.
  • Clinical Competency & Staff Development

  • Conduct clinical supervision with assigned staff. This can occur in a variety of methods including group or individual depending on the need for the program or individual.
  • Support staff competency through coaching, observation, feedback, and skills-based learning.
  • Review, sign, and provide feedback on ISPs for non-fully licensed clinicians within the designated deadlines.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to identify training needs and clinical performance trends.
  • Assist with remediation plans when documentation, quality, or clinical standards are not met.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff regarding best practices, ethical decision-making, and high-risk clinical situations.
  • Compliance, Quality & CCBHC Alignment

  • Ensure training and supervision practices align with CCBHC certification criteria, state regulations, and payer requirements.
  • Support quality initiatives by reinforcing standards tied to outcomes, documentation, and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate training and supervision records for audits, certification, and grant reporting.
  • Partner with Quality and Compliance teams to address findings, corrective action plans, and regulatory updates.
  • Develop and maintain EBPs fidelity monitoring and systems that reach the organization goals.
  • Collaboration & Organizational Support

  • Work collaboratively with leadership, supervisors, HR, and Quality to support workforce development and retention.
  • Assist in developing clinical policies, procedures, supervision guidelines, and training materials.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams, committees, and workforce development initiatives as assigned. For example the clinical lead for ACT or special programming or populations.
  • Be available to cover Emergency Services for clinic settings as needed.
  • Review and approve treatment plans according to Center standards.

Base pay is dependent on education, experience, and specialty.

  • Eligible for $150/month ($1,800 annually) in student loan repayment,available at hire
  • Earn$750for every person you refer who is hired and remains employed for 6 monthsand receive an additional $500every year as long as you both remain employed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Active clinical license in good standing and eligible to supervise interns per state regulations.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain center privileges.
  • Must have a valid Indiana Driver's License.

Background Checks:

  • 4C Health is a Drug-Free Workplace employer. Candidates must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Candidates must be willing to submit to comprehensive background checks, including but not limited to criminal and child protective services checks.

Necessary skills:

  • Experience providing clinical supervision and/or training in a behavioral health setting.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices, ethics, and trauma-informed care.
  • Ability to supervise others and maintain harmonious relationships among and between associates.
  • Ability to think critically and analyze information/situations for most appropriate response.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Able to utilize databases and/or other electronic means to perform duties.
  • Models professionalism, teamwork, and communication internally and externally.
  • Excellent communication skills; internally and externally.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
