Additional job details and special considerations

The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the service of one (1) Software Engineer 3 position who meets the general qualifications of Software Engineer 3 and the specifications outlined in this document for the above-named customer. The Software Engineer 3 contractor position is part of the HHSC IT Administrative Applications Robotic Process Automation (RPA) team and will play a crucial role in designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining RPA solutions. The Software Engineer 3 will perform developer duties that will include solution design and development, process automations, infrastructure management, collaboration, and continuous improvement. The contractor role is for a senior robotics developer for technologies that may include BluePrism, Microsoft Power Automate, and Azure. The role will be responsible for developing, testing, and troubleshooting bots that will automate various business processes. Hands-on experience with BluePrism, Microsoft Power Automate, and Azure is a must along with the ability to troubleshoot and validate HTTP responses. Knowledge of DOM, HTTP protocol, JavaScript, and HTML is also required. This will be a fast-paced project working in an Agile (Kanban/Scrum) environment.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 Years experience required with Hands-on experience with RPA development
• 8 Years experience required withExperience with web development including HTML, JavaScript, DOM and HTTP protocol
• 8 Years experience required with Experience with SQL/No-SQL databases
• 8 Years experience required with Experience with RESTful web services

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 Years experience preferred with experience with API development
• 4 Years experience preferred experience with process discovery, requirements gathering, and solution architecture
• 4 Years experience preferred with proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python
• 3 Years experience preferred with Experience with Azure infrastructure including troubleshooting
• 3 Years experience preferred Experience with software development using Agile methodology
• 1 Year experience preferred Experience with Power Automate development
• BluePrism Certification Preferred
• Microsoft Power Platform Developer Certification Preferred
