What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at 48th Street Grille?
Since the customer's experience starts and ends at the door the person in this role helps set the tone for the experience that our guests receive. We’re looking for fun and energetic people who are not only inspired by great food, but are also enthusiastic about providing outstanding experiences for our guests. The ideal candidate is poised, polished, and has a professional charm. Previous experience hosting in a high volume restaurant is strongly preferred. We are also looking for our host to be availabile with a schedule flexible enough to adjust to the needs of the business and has experience maintiaing company presence on social media platforms.
In addition to customer service skills, the ideal candidate must be a quick thinker, excellent problem solver, comfortable with technology, and good with math. As a member of our team you'll enjoy being a contributor in our high energy, polished casual, scratch restaurant. Your responsibilities would include:
- Welcoming each guest with a friendly greeting and a smile
- Maintaining customer reservations utilizing reservation management software
- Maintaing restaurant presence across various social media platfoms
- Maintaining relationships with guests and local businesses
- Graciously answering telephones, confirming reservations, and showing guests to their tables
- Creating and nurturing a fun family-oriented work environment
- Providing amazing experiences; Service comes from the mind, but hospitality comes from the heart!
