Director, Software Engineer

Morgan Stanley Services Group Inc. seeks a Director, Software Engineer in New York, New York Build captivating, robust, highly scalable, time sensitive software applications in an Agile/DevOps Environment. Provide strategic business software solutions. Collaborate with external clients, internal users and onshore and offshore teams to deliver state-of-the art software user interfaces. Work with creative story tellers, UX designers, and product managers to build software applications. Develop software platforms including electronic trading, capture of assets, processing and matching engines, workflow and rules engines. Facilitate clearing and settlement, and deliveries in and out of multiple assets – adapting and customizing them. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week. Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $151,800 and $165,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs. Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as a UI Developer, Software Engineer, or a related role. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Angular; JavaScript; TypeScript; CSS; SQL; HTML5; REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML; working in a Linux and Unix environment; and Git version control. Requires four (4) years of experience with: Java; and Spring or SpringBoot.
