Duties
- Assist senior picture framers with measuring, cutting, and assembling custom frames using hand tools and woodworking machines
- Prepare artwork, photographs, and memorabilia for framing by cleaning, mounting, and positioning items accurately
- Operate power tools safely to cut moldings, trim materials, and assemble frames according to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained
- Support the installation of finished frames on walls or display areas within retail or client locations
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while adhering to safety protocols such as power tool safety standards
Skills
- Experience with hand tools (e.g., saws, chisels) and power tools used for woodworking and metal framing
- Knowledge of woodworking machines and materials used in picture framing such as moldings, glass, backing boards, and mounting supplies
- Strong color sense and design experience.
Flexible schedule 1-2 days a week.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 15.0 per week
