Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of production areas, equipment, and facility surfaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and chemical agents.
• Handle chemical substances safely by following proper chemical handling procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protection when necessary.
• Conduct sanitation procedures in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure food safety and quality.
• Operate cleaning machinery and tools for industrial cleaning tasks, including heavy lifting when required.
• Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, chemical usage, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Follow all safety guidelines related to chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation practices to prevent accidents or contamination.
• Assist in warehouse or manufacturing environments by supporting custodial tasks, ensuring cleanliness in storage and production areas.

Requirements

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in industrial, manufacturing, or food processing environments is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques specific to industrial or commercial settings, including chemical agent handling and sanitation standards.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly throughout shifts.
• Basic math skills for measuring chemicals and recording data accurately.
• Familiarity with GMP standards, food safety protocols, and safety protocol adherence is advantageous.
• Experience with chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of PPE is essential.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to maintain sanitation records efficiently.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments such as manufacturing plants or warehouses.
