Position Overview
409 Group is seeking an experienced Lead Journeyman Plumber to join our growing Plumbing Division. This is a working field leadership position responsible for leading residential and commercial new construction and remodeling projects while actively performing plumbing installations alongside the crew.
The Lead Journeyman is responsible for maintaining quality workmanship, jobsite productivity, labor efficiency, and material usage while ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Plumbing Department Manager
Responsibilities
Lead by example while actively performing plumbing installations.
Install residential and commercial plumbing systems on new construction and remodeling projects.
Complete underground, rough-in, top-out, and finish plumbing.
Install DWV, domestic water, natural gas, and plumbing fixtures.
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing drawings.
Direct and mentor apprentices and helpers on the jobsite.
Manage daily jobsite labor to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Monitor and control material usage while minimizing waste.
Coordinate material needs and communicate shortages to the Plumbing Department Manager.
Ensure projects remain on schedule and meet production goals.
Coordinate with builders, inspectors, project managers, and other trades.
Troubleshoot field issues and provide practical solutions.
Ensure all work complies with plumbing codes and company quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
Complete required job documentation and communicate progress to the Plumbing Department Manager.
Represent 409 Group professionally with customers, builders, inspectors, and trade partners.
Qualifications
Current Texas Journeyman Plumber License (Required)
Minimum 5 years of plumbing experience
Experience in residential and commercial new construction and remodeling
Ability to lead crews while maintaining high production and quality standards
Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
