As a Technician-in-Training, you will begin employment with us while completing the steps required by the State of Montana to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician. This includes:
- Provisional License: Upon hire, you will be responsible to apply for a Provisional Certified Pharmacy Technician License through the Montana Board of Pharmacy.
- Training Program: While working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will complete a structured training course designed to prepare you for certification paid for by 406 Rx, PLLC.
- Certification Exam: After training, you will be eligible to complete the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) or other approved exam to obtain full certification/licensure.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Process prescription orders and ensure completeness and accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Manage inventory and restock medications as needed.
- Follow all state and federal regulations regarding pharmacy practices.
- Answer and direct phone calls appropriately.
- Process all sales transactions with operation of cash register.
- Direct customers to the appropriate pharmacy staff for prescription-related or OTC inquiries.
- Strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and fostering positive relationships.

- High School Degree or equivalent
- Ability to complete state licensing requirements and certification exam within required timeframe.
