JOB TITLE: Project Engineer
JOB SUMMARY: The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager and Superintendent in
our Civil division with organizing, controlling, monitoring and recording activities which are
part of the construction management of a Civil Excavation project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Oversee coordination and maintenance of project documentation.
• Conduct field verifications quality control.
• Assist the safety personnel with implementation and enforcement of safety
standards.
• May assist in creating material takeoffs and procuring materials for the project.
• Understand the project overall schedule and its relationship to specific tasks.
• May assist with coordination of subcontractors and company employees.
• May manage submittals, change orders, and Requests for Information.
• Assist the Superintendent and Project Manager in any other assigned tasks.
• Will be the eyes and ears on site for the Project Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A four-year engineering or construction management degree is required.
• OSHA 10 and 30 certifications are desired.
• SWPPP certifications are desired.
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Effective oral communication and writing skills. Ability to problem solve, forward
think, and plan ahead.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
This position is moderately strenuous. Applicants must be able to lift and carry objects.
Applicants must be able to work in all weather conditions. Activities may include climbing
ladders or scaffolding, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling and standing for periods of
time. Applicants must be able to see clearly and recognize small details. Applicants must
be able use a tablet, keyboard and mouse. Applicants must be able to effectively
communicate by phone, email and text messaging.
