This position streamlines pharmacy technician workflows, leads automation and technology operations, manages purchasing and inventory, coordinates training and competency programs, and ensures compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards. The incumbent assists with the planning, coordination, and implementation of operational initiatives that promote efficiency, medication safety, and quality patient care across pharmacy sites-upholding Renown Health's core values of People First, Compassion, Integrity, Collaboration, and Excellence.
Responsibilities include performing and supporting activities related to pharmacy automation, technology, purchasing, inventory management, and compounding operations. The incumbent appropriately participates in compounding processes, adhering to all USP standards and departmental procedures to ensure product quality and patient safety. Duties also include assisting with audits and competency programs, maintaining accurate documentation for quality assurance and regulatory audits, and ensuring that compounding environments and equipment are properly maintained and compliant with established standards.
The incumbent is expected to maintain a thorough understanding of pharmacy systems, inventory control processes, and technology tools used to monitor and improve operational workflows. The incumbent assists in data gathering, process evaluation, and the development of solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and cost-effectiveness within the department.
Attendance at staff meetings, ongoing training, and participation in quality improvement initiatives are expected.
