The Education Specialist - Critical Care Support Services implements plans for new, revised, or existing educational offerings. These offerings are aimed at using evidence-based medicine to improve quality while decreasing variation in clinical practice in order to facilitate an environment of a high reliability organization.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (RT), Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
- Four (4) years of respiratory therapy experience.
- One (1) year of leadership experience in respiratory therapy.
- One (1) year of teaching experience in respiratory therapy.
- Demonstrated competence in development of Respiratory Therapy education.
- Demonstration of leadership, good communication skills, problem solving and organizational skills, flexibility, self-directedness, and initiative required. Considerable amounts of computer work. Computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) and familiar with use of Internet
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:
- Current Michigan Respiratory Therapy licensure.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- BLS/ACLS/NRP Instructor certification, preferred.
