The Role The Technical Accounting Lead will serve as a subject matter expert on complex accounting issues, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and will be responsible for accurate financial reporting. This role is ideal for a CPA with 3–4 years of public accounting experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys technical research, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Technical Accounting & Research Perform in-depth technical accounting research and prepare position papers on complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition, equity/debt arrangements, software capitalization). Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on the company’s financial statements. Responsible for implementation of new accounting pronouncements, where applicable. Financial Reporting Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statements, including disclosures in compliance with U.S. GAAP. Support SEC reporting requirements Perform ad-hoc analysis and prepare schedules related to ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements. Assist in preparing internal monthly financial reporting. Policy & Compliance Maintain and enhance internal controls related to technical accounting areas. Partner with auditors during quarterly reviews and year-end audits. Assist in SOX internal control optimization and improvements, particularly as related to technical accounting and financial reporting. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with FP&A, Tax, and Revenue Operations teams to ensure proper accounting treatment for new initiatives. Process Improvement Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and implement automation for accounting processes. Requirements: CPA designation required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; Master’s degree preferred. 3–4 years of public accounting experience, ideally with exposure to technical accounting, public company reporting and internal controls. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and revenue recognition (ASC 606). Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
