Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings, ensuring compliance with local building codes and plumbing regulations.
- Work with construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute pipe installation, gas piping systems, and HVAC components.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and other construction tools safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades on plumbing and HVAC units to ensure optimal performance.
- Read schematics and technical diagrams to diagnose issues accurately; implement solutions following safety regulations and building codes.
- Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment on construction sites while adhering to safety standards; assist in remodeling or assembly tasks as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, complete inspection reports, and ensure all work aligns with local building codes and safety regulations.
Skills
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of residential and small commercial plumbing systems.
- Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and understanding construction plans for precise installations.
- Knowledge of plumbing building codes, gas piping systems, pipe installation techniques, and building code compliance standards.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe threading machines, and basic math for measurements and calculations.
- Experience with maintenance, repair operations (MRO), system troubleshooting, and field service tasks related to plumbing and HVAC systems.
- Mechanical aptitude combined with carpentry skills; ability to perform heavy lifting safely on construction sites.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients while maintaining professionalism on-site.
