I need a caregiver who lives in Woodbine and is looking to make some extra money with a part-time caregiver job. The client lives in Woodbine as well. The work order is for 48 hours per week over 7 days. The ideal client can work a split schedule with approximately 3.5 hours in the am then 3.5 hours in the pm. Ideally the schedule would be 8-12:30 then 6-9:30 pm. Basically you would be getting the client up, bathed, dressed, and fed in the am then ready for bed in the pm. Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Provide catheter care and support for patients with specific medical needs.
- Assist in the administration of medications as directed by nursing staff.
- Support patients with mobility challenges, including transferring them safely between beds and wheelchairs.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records (eClinicalWorks).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and needs.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times, especially in critical care or hospice settings.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills related to dementia care, ICU procedures, and medical-surgical practices.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills or experience:
- Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Proficiency in taking vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
