Summary: The Digital Imaging Operator I is responsible for producing variable and static digital printed pieces on the Xerox iGen, HP Indigo, Autobond, UV lighting and Scodix Digital Press.
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 5:00 AM – 1:00 PM, or similar. Training may occur at other times.
Salary Range: $16.00-$18.00 Hourly
Compensation commensurate with experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Login to batching system to view customer job assignments due dates and identify priorities
- Examine job orders to determine details such as: quantities to be printed, production run times, stock specifications, colors and color sequences
- Setup assigned apparatus to specifications and run product
- Monitor machines, adjusting speed, temperature, ink flow and positions of products to ensure machine is maintaining the proper specifications
- Inspect and examine printed products for: print clarity, color accuracy, conformance to specifications and external defects
- Troubleshoot apparatus problems, resolve if possible, notify Supervisor/ Plant manager
- Maintain proper machine maintenance and lubrication
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstation are in good working order and is free of safety hazards
- Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately
- Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
- Report all work related injuries, illnesses, and/or near misses to management immediately
- Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
- Provide thorough training to employees including but not limited to new hires, transfers, and newly promoted employees as needed
- Other responsibilities and tasks may be assigned
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
- Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your and surrounding work area(s)
- Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
- Attend all department/company meetings
- Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES:
- Xerox iGen Operator certified
- Six months – one (1) year of experience operating and troubleshooting an HP Indigo machine
- Proficient computer knowledge
CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:
- Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills when faced with unexpected challenges, such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, or errors in print quality. Ability to adapt to new printing technologies or changes in production schedules, ensuring smooth operations despite changes.
- Time Management & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality. Organizing workflows, preparing materials in advance, and optimizing print runs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring print jobs to ensure all details, such as color accuracy, image sharpness, and print placement, meet the required standards. Detecting small defects or inconsistencies during production and taking corrective action immediately.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand corporate policies, job-related documents, and written/verbal instructions in English to ensure effective and compliant job performance.
- Strong foundational math skills, with the ability to perform basic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in managing time, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks accurately.
