Position Description
Objectives
- To provide timely, efficient, and reliable service in vehicle and equipment repairs and maintenance
Reporting Relationships
- Reports to Fleet Management Supervisor
- Supervision of none
Responsibilities and Authorities
- Performs Personally the Following Activities Unique to This Position:
- Conducts all major and minor repairs on all vehicles and equipment, including hydraulics, welding, fabrication, brakes, etc.
- Installs and removes two-way radio equipment and assists in maintaining the same.
- Performs preventive maintenance on all vehicles and equipment.
- Maintains garage and related work area in a neat, clean, safe, and orderly condition free of recognized hazards.
- Assists in pumping gasoline and fuel records system, routine washing, or servicing vehicles as required.
- Assists stranded vehicles requiring on-the-spot maintenance or towing.
- Assists in scheduled washing and cleaning of vehicles and equipment as needed.
- Such other duties as may be required.
