Role: Leave of Absence Manager
Location: New York, NY 10007
Schedule: Normal business hours Monday through Friday
Hybrid: Onsite three days per week
Rate: $40 /hr

Overview:
4 Corner Resources is looking for a skilled Leave of Absence Manager in the New York area. This position supports a large and fast-paced HR environment, focusing on data review, proactive planning, and workflow management. Leave of Absence Process Manager Responsibilities:
• Manage the overall Leave of Absence process; this role has no direct reports.
• Review and analyze leave activity and employee data including upcoming leaves, tenure of employees currently on leave, disciplinary history, and other key indicators to support proactive planning.
• Pull and prepare monthly leave, and employee reports.
• Respond to inquiries from employees, HR partners, managers, and third-party administrators.
• Meet with the third-party administrator bi-monthly to review open issues, updates, and process changes.
• Utilize Workday, ServiceNow, MS Teams, Zoom, and Microsoft Office Suite to track, update, and manage all leave activity.
• Create PowerPoint presentations for HR leadership to highlight leave metrics and trends.
• Maintain ongoing communication with employees on leave and coordinate return-to-work timelines.
• Advise employees on benefit eligibility and how leave laws interact with PTO, disability programs, and workers compensation.
• Support the employee accommodations process and participate in the ADA interactive discussion as needed.
• Audit daily data entries to ensure accuracy and compliance; assist with data entry when required.
• Collaborate with payroll to ensure all updates, salary coordination, and Workday submissions are processed accurately and timely.
• Participate in Workday testing, documentation updates, and new process development.
Leave of Absence Process Manager Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years of multistate Leave of Absence experience, including NY-specific leave laws.
• Strong knowledge of FMLA, short-term disability (STD), long-term disability (LTD), workers compensation, ADA, and general leave and accommodation processes.
• Ability to update FMLA requests, waiting periods, salary coordination, and payroll submissions within Workday.
• Prior experience managing leaves in a large workforce environments.
• Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
