This is an Energy Consultant position that will allow you to sell residential solar energy to qualified homeowners through the NYS solar program. The average commission is $2000-4000 per sale with a target earnings of $150,000 per year.

Job Description:
This is a 1099 contract, 100% commission-only position.
Our team at Happy Solar has partnered with the NY-Sun/Solar for All initiative to bring program education and energy cost savings to qualified NYS homeowners based on a number of requirements that are needed to meet the eligibility criteria, it is our responsibility and duty to speak to as many people as possible to assist them in this transition to the state solar program while there's still time.
Happy Solar is currently recruiting for permanent and seasonal positions in the Buffalo/Rochester area. We are the premier sales organization that sells through 3rd Roc Solar locally as their master dealer. We are looking for experienced sales professionals with a minimum of 1 year of salesmanship. Door to door experience is a plus.

Position Overview:
Closers: Your job is to close the deal. The setter has secured the homeowner's interest; it’s up to you to use your sales skills to finalize the sale with integrity. You will receive 50% of any commission from appointments you close. You will also be expected to self generate.
Integrity is crucial. Misleading sales tactics will not be tolerated. Do not promise homeowners anything we cannot deliver or manipulate shading numbers to falsely represent system performance. Violations will result in termination and forfeiture of commissions.
Responsibilities:
- Run company set appointments
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and explain the benefits of our products/services.
- Meet or exceed daily/weekly appointment generation targets.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all calls and appointments in the CRM software.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for potential customers.
- Learn all NYS specific programs and offerings to provide homeowner with enough information to make an informed decision.
Qualifications:
- Technical skills to use proposal software
- Previous experience in sales
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Comfortable using technology and CRM software to manage leads and appointments.
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve goals.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
