Position Overview
The Senior FP&A Analyst is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and performance analysis across a complex manufacturing environment. The role combines strong analytical rigor with cross-functional business partnership, helping leaders understand results, identify opportunities, and make informed decisions that improve financial and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
- Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
- Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and explain key business drivers
- Develop reporting packages, dashboards, and presentations for leadership
- Partner with operations and commercial teams to improve performance and support decision-making
- Analyze costs, margins, and profitability across the business
- Support strategic initiatives, capital investments, and process improvement efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
- Minimum of 3 years of FP&A experience in the United States, preferably supporting manufacturing, food production, consumer products, or other operationally intensive businesses
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis skills
- Advanced Excel proficiency and experience working with ERP systems and large data sets
- Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Strong analytical curiosity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Must currently live within commuting distance of the Greater Sacramento area
