Land Survey/CAD Technician – Position Summary

Land Survey/CAD Technician – Responsibilities
- Assist surveyors and engineering project managers with all aspects of daily office workload.
- Communicate effectively with office staff and field crews regarding schedules, priorities, and deliverables.
- Perform daily uploading and downloading of survey data collectors; process and reduce raw field files.
- Conduct survey computations for boundary, topographic, and construction stakeout work.
- Draft and prepare survey drawings including Boundary, ALTA/NSPS, Topographic, As-Built, Location Surveys, and Record Plats.
- Prepare cut sheets and perform computation checks as needed.
- Support QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with jurisdictional standards.
Land Survey/CAD Technician – Qualifications
- 4 years of experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and land development/site design plans.
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD drafting, survey computations, and plan production.
- Familiarity with land record research and understanding of deeds, plats, easements, and right-of-way documents.
- Survey experience highly preferred, including:
- Boundary surveys
- Topographic surveys
- GPS control surveys
- Construction stakeout for residential & commercial projects
- Experience with Trimble, Leica, and related survey equipment/software strongly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with surveyors, engineers, and field crews.

Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
