Civil Engineer – Land Development
Our client is looking for a Civil Engineer to join their team in DC Metro office, working on site civil engineering projects in a collaborative environment. This role involves preparing land development construction documents, including roadway, utility, and site design, under the guidance of a Project Manager.
Civil Engineer - Key Responsibilities:
- Develop site grading designs to optimize earthwork and drainage
- Assist with zoning, preliminary, and concept land development plans
- Design erosion & sediment control measures, including stability calculations and best management practices
- Calculate quantities for construction cost estimates
- Research and apply local, state, and federal standards for plan approvals
- Process design documents through regulatory agencies
Civil Engineer - Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience in civil/site land planning & engineering
- Experience with Microstation and/or AutoCAD
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
- Experience in Maryland or Prince George’s County is a plus
