This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. - Implement effective machine monitoring capability and analyze data to determine improvement opportunities
- Develop, implement, and sustain reliability strategies to improve uptime, reduce failures, and extend asset life
- Lead or support Preventive / Predictive Maintenance programs and Stockroom optimization efforts
- Support development and expansion of predictive maintenance technologies (vibration, infrared, oil analysis, etc.)
- Identify opportunities to transition from time-based to condition-based maintenance strategies
- Build and maintain reliability dashboards and KPIs to track performance and improvement progress
- Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) on major breakdowns and recurring failures and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Identify and execute reliability improvement projects with measurable impact to OEE and cost
- Lead or support continuous improvement projects aligned with plant and corporate goals
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a Science or Engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start)
- Three (3) years of experience in reliability, maintenance, or engineering within a heavy industrial, mining, manufacturing, private, public, government or military environment
- Three (3) years of experience working with CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
- Three (3) years of experience working with data analysis and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM).
- Professional reliability credentials such as: Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician
- Experience with Mining and Industrial Rock Processing Equipment
- Experience with rotating equipment (kilns, dryers, conveyors, crushers, screeners)
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
- Experience with machine data analysis tools/software (eg. SCADA)
- Plant automation / PLC experience
- Experience with SAP PM module (work orders, PM optimization, reporting)
- Work Location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at 3M Corona, CA
- Travel: May include up to 10% domestic
