The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. - Testing and dispositioning manufactured products as well as raw materials using a variety of analytical techniques
- Calibrating analytical instrumentation and other laboratory equipment
- Helping R&D teams by carrying out and evaluating new test methods
- Reporting quality data and collaborating with teams onsite to act on the data
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule that includes overnight shifts
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
- Three (3) years of combined experience in a laboratory, pilot plant, or manufacturing facility in a private, public, government, or military environment
- Expertise equivalent to an associate degree or higher in chemistry, physics, biology, or related fields
- One year of experience in a quality control laboratory setting, preferably in manufacturing at an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949-certified facility
- Experience with chromatography, molecular spectroscopy, and titrations
- Experience in systems for the reporting and analysis of data in laboratory settings
- Experience with the Microsoft 365 software platform, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
