This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. - Support product engineering, change activities, and other efforts for electromechanical Powered and Supplied Air Respiratory Systems.
- Contribute to product design, testing, and development activities to improve product performance, quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
- Work with cross-functional teams to complete product verification, validation, qualification, and manufacturing readiness activities.
- Support product and process improvements by applying engineering principles, data analysis, and structured problem-solving methods.
- Provide technical support to R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Business teams by investigating technical issues and developing practical solutions.
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or engineering discipline (completed and verified prior to start).
- Experience applying engineering fundamentals to product development, testing, analysis, or process improvement activities.
- Experience working effectively in a team environment and collaborating with cross-functional partners.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience in research and development, product development, design engineering, testing, manufacturing engineering, or related engineering functions in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- Experience through internships, co-ops, research programs, or industry assignments supporting electromechanical products or systems.
- Experience with product testing, design verification, validation, statistical analysis, or engineering data analysis.
- Familiarity with risk management, DFMEA, root cause analysis, Design Controls, or product lifecycle management processes.
- Demonstrated leadership through university research, technical organizations, professional societies, or cross-functional project teams.
- This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least four days a week in the office at 3M Center, located in Maplewood, MN.
