Job Overview
We are seeking a diligent and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead our financial operations team within the United States remotely. This is a Full-Time permanent position, ideal for a professional with a strong background in financial management and a passion for process improvement. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance while managing a dedicated team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations and fostering strong relationships with our valued suppliers.
Responsibilities
• Lead, manage, and mentor the accounts payable team, fostering a culture of high performance, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the complete, end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment runs, and vendor query resolution.
• Develop, implement, and maintain robust systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Manage the monthly and yearly closing of accounts payable, ensuring all financial deadlines are met.
• Act as the primary point of contact for resolving complex payment and invoice discrepancies.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Analyze departmental performance, prepare insightful reports for senior management, and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Ensure strict compliance with all financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or in a similar senior financial role.
• A thorough understanding of accounts payable principles, accounting standards, and best practices.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
• High proficiency in accounting software and the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging effectively with individuals at all levels.
