Midlothian Level 2 Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer

3JS Security, LLC. is a Law Enforcement/Military Veteran owned security company that employs mainly active and retired military veterans along with both active and retired Law Enforcement Officers. Due to our quickly growing operations, we have immediate needs for prior military veterans, active duty reservists, and anyone looking to excel in a professional security capacity.

Specific Post Details: 3JS Security, LLC. was recently contracted to provide unarmed security for a large retail distribution center located in the DFW area. This detail requires a security team to ensure the safety of employees and product within the building.

If you have experience in security, law enforcement or military you are a great fit for this role; if not, we will provide you with the training and everything you need for a great introduction to a career in the security industry. The unarmed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our unarmed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client's employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent. 3JS Officers are driven by a clear corporate culture and purpose, which helps us live according to our values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness. A clean criminal history; A current TX Level II or III security license (preferred), or the ability to achieve Texas security licensing. Be willing to undergo initial and random drug testing. Must have and be able to prove reliable means of transportation. (Bus is not considered reliable) Good attendance / dependability / and reliable. Be willing to work in all weather conditions. Be well presented, effective communicator, and have a professional appearance. Recent experience in private security, military or law enforcement is preferred.

Further, We are looking for competent Security Officers to undertake the safety and surveillance of our premises and protection of our staff and visitors. You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior. A security officer must be well-trained in surveillance and dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will inspire respect and authority as well as possess a high level of observation. The goal is to help the company in maintaining excellent working conditions by keeping our facilities safe and problem-free.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Monitor and authorize entrance of people in the property
• Remove wrongdoers or trespassers from the area
• Secure all exits, doors and windows during, after, and end of operations
• Investigate people for suspicious activity or possessions
• Respond to complaints by investigating and assessing the situation
• Provide assistance to people in need
• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot
• Apprehend and detain perpetrators according to legal protocol before arrival of authorities
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences

Skills:

• Proven experience as security officer or guard
• Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
• Familiarity with report writing
• Excellent surveillance and observation skills
• Trained in First Aid and self-defense
• Registered as a Texas Level III Security Officer
• Military members
