We are a growing industrial design and 3D printing service bureau located in Chicago, IL. Our company specializes in engineering, CAD design, and industrial selective laser sintering (SLS). By focusing our services on prototype fabrication and production ready parts, we allow our customers to have access to the latest additive manufacturing engineering and equipment in the industry.
Title: Additive Manufacturing Powder Lab Technician (Friday - Tuesday or Wednesday - Sunday)
-Entry level Tech role with an emphasis on part build break out process, processing and cleaning of parts, quality inspection, use of automated and manual blasting equipment, drilling, and other hardware insertion per part blueprints.
- 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Candidates with availability and willingness to work weekends will be considered for position.
Job Function
The day to day tasks for Additive Manufacturing Powder Lab Technician will include the following.
- Sorting and organizing finished builds
- Perform part cleaning and sorting
- Process both digital and physical documents related to parts
- Perform multiple quality inspections
- Material handling
- Operate air and media blast cabinets
- Operate automated finishing equipment
- Help with factory upkeep and cleaning to ensure products are created in a safe and efficient environment
- Use of calipers and drills to preform quality dimensional checks
- Use CAD software to review dimensions of 3D files
The role of the Additive Manufacturing Powder Lab Technician will require you to understand and help hit our internal operating metrics while adhering to key client specific standards.
Skills
The most important skill required to be successful in this position is attention to detail.
Technical knowledge and the ability to follow standard operating procedures is critical.
Able to be organized and clean while working in a fast-paced environment.
Must be coachable and willing to learn. After training and learning the position, we are looking for someone to take ownership and help run important aspects of the manufacturing process.

Qualifications
1 years in manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to work unattended while multitasking
Mechanically inclined, familiar with power tools and machinery
Performs all work in compliance with 3DPX quality and safety systems, policies, and procedures

Pay: $21.00 - $23.50 per hour
