Duties
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as forklifts and machinery to cut, shape, and install stone materials with precision.
- Measure and mark stone surfaces according to detailed project plans and specifications.
- Fabricate custom limestone components through machining or other fabrication techniques to meet design requirements.
- Handle materials safely using proper materials handling procedures within mill site.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on the setup and operation of mechanical equipment involved in stone fabrication and installation processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Journeyman or skilled Stone Cutter with a strong background in fabrication, construction, or manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment (including forklifts), and machining equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling, millwork, and assembly processes.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, or specifications accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
