Position: Ultrasound Tech General
Location: 3401 West Gore Boulevard, Lawton, OK
Contract duration: Permanent/Full-time
Shift: Days M-F 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
On Call Requirements: Rotating Call

Other Details:
Under the supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor, the Ultrasound Technologist assists the radiologist and other physicians in achieving scans and images in order to achieve a diagnosis concerning patients receiving an ultrasound exam. Is able to provide patient care activities to include adult, pediatric and neonatal patients. Responsible for the proper utilization of Radiology Information System as described in the RIS Policy and Procedures.
Principal Responsibilities will include:
1.Participates and implements age specific care and interaction.
2.Works established schedule.
3.Provide basic patient care and comfort.
4.Obtain, review and correlate pertinent patient history, physical exam and supporting clinical data to facilitate optional diagnostic results.
5.Perform diagnostic procedures by producing, assessing, evaluating and interpreting ultrasound images and related data that are used to render a medical diagnosis.
6.Performs clerical skills to document and record all statistical information and record keeping requirements.
7.Performs quality assurances and infection control programs.
8.Schedules to be on call.
9.Maintains ultrasound labs.
10.Employ professional judgment and discretion.
11.Maintain competency of profession.
REQUIREMENTS:
Current registration with a National Accredited Registry (ARDMS) - Required.
One year of experience preferred working in the performance of ultrasound and must have current registration with a national accrediting organization (ARDMS). - Strongly Preferred.
