Description
Job Purpose:
- Requires to safely and efficiently operate a skid steer loader to move materials, grade surfaces, and prepare the site, as well as performing manual labor tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a skid steer loader to move, load and unload materials such as dirt, gravel, and construction supplies.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and routine maintenance, such as checking fluid levels and lubricating the quipment.
- Follow all equipment safety procedures, including using a seatbelt, lowering attachments when not in use, and never carrying riders.
- Leveling ground and preparing surfaces.
- Digging trenches and holes for utilities and foundations using hand tools.
- Backfilling trenches and compacting soil as directed.
- Utilize hand and power tools, such as jackhammers, drills, and saws to complete tasks.

Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Experience operating a skid steer in different environments.
- Proven experience as a hand laborer in the construction or related field.
- Experience using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, and levels.
- Experience with trench digging, backfilling, and soil compaction.
- Experience in site preparation and cleaning, including debris removal.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to lift heavy objects (50 lbs regularly) and perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with basic construction principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as shovels, rakes, hammers, and levels.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
- Strong commitment to safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to complete tasks to quality standards and within deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to report safety concerns and work progress.
