What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Lube Technician position at 3B Construction?
Heavy Equipment lube technician performs preventative maintenance, fluid changes, and lubrication on earth-moving machinery. Their primary goal is to minimize costly downtime and extend the lifespan of heavy construction equipment.
Changing engine oil, hydraulic oil, transmission fluids, and coolant for machinery like excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and haul trucks. Grease moving parts, pins, and bushings daily. Will perform routine walk around inspections to check for fluid leaks, loose parts, and visible wear. Responsible for maintaining accurate service logs, record hours, and report major mechanical defects to lead mechanics or project supervisors.
Operate lube trucks safely around active job sites, manage hazardous waste properly, and comply with all safety and environmental protocols.

Requires 1 to 3 years of hands on maintenance experience with heavy equipment or diesel engines. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb on and around heavy machinery and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Basic tool proficiency, fundamental math skills, and the ability to interperet service manuals.
Must have a valid driver's license and dependable transporation.
