Hours of work: Morning, 12 hrs. per day/ 3 days per week 6am-6pm (Weds, Thurs, Fri)
Requirements:
- Must have a current Guard Card/Perc Card
- High School graduate or equivalent
- 21 or older
- Pass a background check
- Have reliable transportation.
- Customer service experience
- Must be able to stand or walk for at least 6 hours.
- Be able to lift 25lbs at any given time

Job Description:
At 365 Facilitators we are looking for reliable and competent Security Officers with a professional disposition and appearance to control and maintain a safe environment while providing protection and excellent customer service at the N. Chicago, IL VA Hospital to our Veterans.
You will be responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, theft, or any other criminal activity. Our security officers must be well-trained in surveillance and de-escalation when dealing with perpetrators. The ideal candidate will demonstrate disciplined attendance, confidence, respect, and authority, as well as possess a high level of both attention to detail and professionalism.
Position Summary
365 Facilitators is seeking reliable, professional Security Officers to maintain a safe and secure environment at the VA Medical Center in North Chicago, IL. This role supports the protection of veterans, staff, visitors, and property. Ideal candidates are observant, disciplined, customer-service oriented, and able to respond calmly to incidents using surveillance and de-escalation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors, and property
- Patrol interior/exterior areas on foot and monitor the perimeter
- Monitor entrances, vehicle gates, and control site access
- Observe for suspicious activity and investigate disturbances
- Prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity
- Document incidents accurately and report concerns promptly
Required Qualifications
- Current Illinois Guard Card/PERC Card
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to stand/walk for at least 6 hours and lift up to 25 lbs

- Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking)
