365 Health Services is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Program Specialist to play a critical role in developing relationships, ensuring successful placements, and managing our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). This position is central to fostering strong business relations, driving talent acquisition, and ensuring the highest quality of service for the individuals we support.
About the Role
The Program Specialist manages the full life cycle of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) from recruitment to active management, while simultaneously building and maintaining vital relationships within the IDD community.
Responsibilities
- I. Recruitment and Placement
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract, screen, and hire qualified DSPs who meet immediate and projected staffing needs.
- Utilize various recruitment tools and methods to source a qualified and diverse candidate pool.
- Match and evaluate candidate skills to individual needs through thorough screening and interviewing.
- Negotiate salary, terms, and conditions of employment with candidates.
- Ensure all candidates meet required hiring standards for 365 Health Services and applicable contracts, overseeing the completion of onboarding requirements.
- Schedule DSPs for initial placement and ongoing assignments.
- II. DSP Management and Oversight
- Manage active DSPs while on assignment, providing performance coaching, counseling, and disciplinary action as needed.
- Assess and investigate concerns and issues related to DSP performance.
- Incorporate and drive a DSP retention strategy into the daily routine.
- Responsible for communicating pertinent information during non-business hours and weekends, as needed.
- III. Relationship and Business Development
- Develop relationships with individuals, families, and Supports Coordinators to determine open needs and successful placements.
- Maintain regular contact with clients, individuals, and referral sources to identify current staffing requirements, projected openings, and potential new business opportunities.
- Drives to and visits assigned individuals routinely, as well as meets individuals and their teams at their homes.
- Ensure individual, family, and referral source expectations are understood and met, addressing and resolving concerns relating to customer service or DSP performance.
- Build and cultivate relationships with industry contacts, referrals, and business development leads to foster stronger business relations and share best practices.
- IV. Compliance and Administration
- Ensure confidentiality of all individual records and personnel files in accordance with agency and HIPAA guidelines.
- Responsible for oversight of revenue cycle management.
- Must meet all Federal, State, and local requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience working with individuals with IDD.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Enthusiastic, results-driven, sense of urgency and high standard of professionalism.
- Must meet all Federal, State, and local requirements.
