We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while managing transactions efficiently. Your ability to engage with customers and assist them with their needs will be essential in creating a positive shopping experience.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed throughout their shopping experience.
• Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit, and debit transactions.
• Process returns and exchanges while adhering to company policies.
• Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and drive sales.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly displayed.
• Utilize retail math skills to manage transactions effectively and ensure accuracy in pricing.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or directing calls appropriately.
• Assist in supervising junior staff members during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide bilingual support when necessary to assist a diverse customer base.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash registers is an advantage.
• Ability to upsell products and demonstrate sales techniques effectively.
