Construction Project Manager – Commercial / Federal Facility
Location: Denver / Lakewood, CO (Denver Federal Center)
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Thursday (4x10s; 3-Day Weekends)
Compensation: $60.00 – $70.00 / hour (Dependent on experience)
Per Diem / Travel Support: Available for qualified non-local travelers
Position Type: Long-Term Contract-to-Hire (Projected through Spring 2027 with ongoing permanent opportunities)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager with a strong commercial general contracting background to oversee multi-scope renovation and facility improvement projects at a large federal facility in the Lakewood/Denver area.
Stationed on site in the project trailer, you will serve as the primary on-site project leader and owner/prime contractor liaison. In this role, you will lead day-to-day operations, schedule coordination, safety compliance, budget tracking, and subcontractor execution across multiple concurrent trade scopes.

Key Responsibilities
- Site Leadership & Execution: Serve as the head on-site representative managing daily field operations, ensuring project scopes are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Supervision & Team Management: Directly manage 3–4 field construction managers and trade foremen overseeing crews ranging from 3 to 12 craftspeople across multiple campus buildings.
- Subcontractor & GC Coordination: Direct, schedule, and coordinate specialty subcontractors and external general contractors across diverse trades, resolving field conflicts and driving milestone adherence.
- Multi-Scope Oversight: Oversee concurrent scopes of work including interior window secondary installations, full window replacement/carpentry, building electrical transformer retrofits, and major exterior curtain wall capital improvements.
- Project Administration & Financial Tracking: Utilize Procore to manage daily logs, RFIs, submittals, three-week lookaheads, production tracking, material logistics, and cost/budget controls.
- Safety & Security Compliance: Champion jobsite safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards and federal facility regulations. Facilitate site access requests and security logistics.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 5 years of construction project management experience, preferably with a Commercial General Contractor or large-scale prime contractor.
- Multi-Trade Expertise: Demonstrated track record managing multiple scopes of work, diverse trade disciplines (carpentry, glazing/curtain walls, electrical retrofits), and subcontractor packages concurrently.
- Safety Certifications: OSHA 30 (Construction) is required.
- EM 385-1-1 (Competent Person) certification is preferred; employer-sponsored training will be provided if not currently held.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Procore construction management software, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Security & Clearances: Must be able to pass a comprehensive federal background investigation and fingerprinting process for facility security badging.
- Location & Travel: Candidates local to the greater Denver/Front Range area are preferred; traveling candidates willing to be on site Monday through Thursday in Lakewood, CO are encouraged to apply.
