Medical Assistant | Outpatient Primary Care
Make a difference in patients’ daily care while working alongside a collaborative clinical team. We’re seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with a background in primary care, value-based care, and lab procedures to support a busy outpatient practice.
Bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred. Qualified Medical Assistants are encouraged to apply regardless of bilingual proficiency.
What You’ll Do
- Room patients, discuss symptoms, take vital signs, and document information in electronic medical records.
- Assist physicians and nurses with patient care and diagnostic testing.
- Administer injections within your active credentials and authorized scope of practice.
- Collect specimens, perform blood draws, and support lab procedures.
- Clean and sterilize equipment and prepare examination rooms.
- Provide administrative and operational support to keep the practice running smoothly.
- Follow established policies and quality standards while helping patients feel comfortable and informed.
What You’ll Need
- 1–3 years of back-office Medical Assistant experience providing direct patient care.
- Experience in primary care and value-based care.
- Proficiency with lab procedures.
- Applicable Medical Assistant credentials, including RMA/CMA and any required state licensure.
- Current CPR certification.
- Less than two years of professional leadership experience.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient service skills.
- Ability to complete required TB screening.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Active Medical Assistant certification or registration through AAMA, NHA, ARMA, NAHP, or AMT.
- Hands-on professional phlebotomy experience.
- Experience with electronic medical records and HEDIS.
- Radiologic Technologist credential (ARRT).
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
