Qualifications
Essential Job Functions:
- Oral Health Assessments: Conduct thorough oral health assessments, including for signs of oral diseases and abnormalities.
- Teeth Cleaning: Perform dental cleanings, including removing plaque, calculus, and stains from teeth.
- Preventative Treatment: Apply preventative treatments like fluoride applications and sealants.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing and dietary recommendations.
- Radiographs: Take digital dental x-rays as needed.
- Record Keeping: Accurate and timely updates to patient records including documenting treatments and observations.
- Assist Dentist during exams and procedures as needed.
- Assist with patient transportation.
- Communicate effectively with all patients, family members, providers, faculty, and staff.
- Provide timely responses to patient inquiries; document conversations in the EMR.
- Requires travel up to 100% of the time.
- Must have own reliable transportation, good driving record, and car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid dental hygiene license.
